No Tent Termite Treatment In Florida

For over a decade, thousands of homeowners in Florida have opted to get a No Tent Termite Treatment instead of a traditional tent fumigation to eliminate drywood termites.

Our Termite Inspection Process

When you call our office, you will be provided with a two-hour arrival window (with our on-time guarantee) for a free termite inspection to be performed by one of our Pest Management University trained termite inspectors.

Upon arrival at your home, our termite inspector will inspect any suspected areas of termite activity and will also inspect your attic. If termites are confirmed, the inspector will inform you of the species that are present.

If subterranean termites are identified, we will recommend either the installation of a termite bait system or a termite liquid trench application, or both, depending on the structure and the areas of activity.

If drywood termites are identified, we will recommend either a tent fumigation or a No Tent termite treatment, depending on the structure and the areas of activity.

The No Tent Termite Treatment Process

If we confirm the presence of drywood termites within your home and you choose to have our tentless termite treatment performed, one of our termite technicians will arrive within a few days to complete the treatment.

Our technician will start by:

  1. Confirming the presence of drywood termites that our termite inspector identified.

  2. Once confirmed, they will apply a liquid borate product to all accessible wood in your attic.

We prefer a liquid borate as opposed to a dust borate for curative treatments in attics, so that the product can be absorbed into the wood and kill termites it contacts.

While borate dusts are effective at killing termite swarmers, it will not eliminate termites that are already inside of the wood unless injected directly into the wood.

  1. Our technician will then inject a foam termiticide product into any walls, door frames, window frames or other areas that are identified as having active drywood termite infestations through the presence of termite frass, kick out holes and visible wood damage.

If your kitchen cabinets are identified as having active drywood termites, our technician will inject a termiticide dust into the wood to eliminate active colonies.

For termites in kitchen cabinets, we prefer using dust over foam since the foam can damage the thinner wood.

Our technician will conclude the visit by applying a preventative treatment to exterior facing door frames.

This complete No Tent termite treatment includes a one-year retreatment warranty, so if new colonies show up, our technician will return to eliminate them at no charge. This warranty can be optionally renewed each year thereafter so that you have the peace of mind that your home is termite free.

No Tent Termite Treatment Cost

At Native Pest Management, one reason we offer No Tent termite control is to allow our clients to save on the cost of termite treatment.

On average, our clients save over $500 just by not having to get a hotel room for two nights, board pets, and pay a handyman to prepare the home for tent fumigation.

In addition, the cost of the No Tent termite treatment itself is typically hundreds of dollars less than the cost of tent fumigation.

To us, the biggest savings is the cost of your time. With a No Tent termite treatment, you don't have to spend time preparing your home or moving out of your home into a hotel.

You also don't have to wonder what time you have to leave your home for a tenting or how soon you can return to your home after the tent comes off.

What Are the Signs of a Termite Infestation?

Professional termite control in Florida

There are several things that you should watch for if you think you might have a termite infestation. If you see one or more of these signs, you might want to consider calling a professional.

  • Termite Droppings: Drywood termites produce small, pellet-like droppings called frass. These are commonly found near infested wood and can be an early sign of a problem.

  • Discarded Wings: Reproductive termites, known as swarmers, shed their wings when they leave the nest to start a new colony. These discarded wings are often found in piles around window sills or other access points.

  • Mud Tubes: Subterranean termites construct mud tubes to travel between their nest and food sources. You might spot these mud tunnels near the foundation of your home.

Termite Damage: Wood damage is a clear sign of a termite infestation. Specific examples of obvious damage might include sagging floors, hollowed-out wood, or damaged structural components.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I remove termites inside my house without tenting?

Removing termites without tenting typically involves using a combination of baiting systems, liquid treatments, and spot treatments. Implementing these methods and proper home maintenance, such as removing wood debris and fixing moisture issues, can help remove termites before an infestation begins.

How do I treat termites in walls without tenting?

Treating termites in walls without tenting can be done using injected foam treatments or dust gun treatments. Injected foam treatments and dust gun treatments involve drilling small holes in the infested walls, then injecting a termiticide foam into the voids or dusting the galleries with a termiticide dust.

Is no-tent termite treatment as effective as tenting?

No-tent termite treatments can be effective in certain situations, but they may not provide the same level of extermination as tenting. Tenting, or fumigation, is a more invasive process that can provide 100% elimination of termites. However, no-tent treatments are less intrusive, more environmentally friendly, and a better option for mild infestations.
